Seberiana, at 90 years old, is one of the few people living in Ikaztegieta who has lived through the transformation of the village. Almost 100 years ago, the village was very different. The last significant changes in the village were made in the square in front of the church. Until not so many years ago, they tell us that they had a big tree, but finally it was decided to urbanise the square, asphalt it and turn it into a play area for the children of the village, whose school is just a few metres away.
Every afternoon, Seberiana and her friends meet in the village square, moving from bench to bench according on the sun. At first, neither she nor her friends were very interested in having their portrait taken. Luckily, thanks to her family, she was encouraged to participate. We were able to take this beautiful portrait, but we also took two other very special portraits: the first with her lifelong friend, Ramonita, and the second, a photo of the 4 generations of women in her family, that is, Seberiana with her daughter, her granddaughter and her great-granddaughter. An image that will undoubtedly remain in the family.
