Miguel is a happy boy.
He came with his aunt because he couldn’t wait to come with his mother to have his portrait taken. He is the quintessential definition of an extrovert child. There is no one he meets in the village who he doesn’t say something to or expect the same from the other person, a greeting, a question, whatever.
He loves to go with his grandfather and his grandfather’s friends to hang out in the square. His mother told us that he often says to her: “I’m going with my friends, the olders”. Of course, with his walking stick and cap, like them. He is a cheerful boy who enjoys the traditions of the village, such as Easter, playing the drum, the garrió (the zambomba), etc. He likes to dress up and play at being a priest, although he doesn’t like the fact that they don’t have a wife.
As soon as the portrait was done, he went from table to table on the next terrace showing it to all the neighbours. Miguel is quite a character and we are glad to have met him.
